Piper-Heidsieck Champagne
The famous Champagne house Piper-Heidsieck was founded in 1785 by the German immigrant Florens-Louis Heidsieck. His ambition was to create a “cuvée worthy of a queen”, and when he presented his wine for Queen Marie Antoinette she loved it from the first sip. With that recommendation, the Heidsieck Champagne soon became famous and shipped to more than 14 royal and imperial courts from Europe to China.
In 1838 The famous winemaker Henri-Guillaume Piper married into the Heidsieck family and became a partner in the Company. The name Piper-Heidsieck Champagne was born. Romantic relations have always been part of the Piper-Heidsieck story and the small “dash” between the names has inspired to the communication “Dash of Seduction”.
Today Piper-Heidsieck is among the most well-known Champagne brands in France and international. It is the most awarded Champagne house of this century and Cellar Master, Régis Camus, has won the prestigious Champagne & Sparkling Winemaker of the Year eight times.
Since Marylin Monroe highlighted Piper-Heidsieck as her favorite Champagne, the brand has been closely connected to the movie universe. It is official Champagne at Cannes Film Festival and the Oscars ceremony is celebrated with Piper-Heidsieck and Régis Camus’ prestige brand, Rare Champagne.
