Bombay Sapphire
Bombay Sapphire is based on an English gin recipe, dating from 1761, created by Thomas Dakin Warrington. Unlike many other gins which boil their botanicals in spirit, Bombay Sapphire gin is 100% vapour infused. During vapour infusion, the spirit vapour gently passes through a copper basket capturing aromatic flavours from each of the ten botanicals. The aromas and flavours that are infused in spirit via vapour infusion are fresher and brighter, and are noticeably different to those of a boiled gin.
The special recipe is a secret blend of ten exotic botanicals, which are featured on the side of every bottle. The aromatic and complex taste of Bombay Sapphire gin is described as a fresh juniper flavor with an excellent light spicy finish, making it an ideal spirit for use in all classic gin cocktails. With its floral nose and exotic palate, it performs particularly well in elegant, delicate drinks like the Martini and classic mixed drinks such as a Bombay Sapphire Gin & Tonic.
